LOVE
Life is truly short. We we must live everyday like its our last, and LOVE one another. Since i have been teaching dance, this past year alone, i have lost two wonderful and talented children . These children have influenced my life, and each one of them i remember distinctivley with a story. One of the student had a illness that he continued to battle everyday, the last time i saw him, he wanted to participate in class but couldn't. I helped into a chair and pulled the chair into the studio where i was teaching. He watched his peers finish the routine. He was happy just being able to see how the final routine ended. Later that day he showed me a picture he drew of an angel and that was last day i saw him. At the age of 7 he passed away. Another student of mine could light up a room with his smile and optimism towards life. He made me smile each time i saw him, and boy did he have a personality. He grew up with an extensive background in the arts which bled through his charisma. Early September he was in a tragic car accident that took his life way to early at the age of 6. In his memory his family celebrated instead of mourning. Life is precious. Months later his father put together The Pro Love tour which was truly uplifting. The whole community came out to support here in Buffalo, NY. I put together a dance along with another friend of mine, and showcased how Asa took me to Higher Ground" Check it out. The clip is full of artist, im toward the end so be patient! Its only a snippet.

Welcome! I'm so excited to share with you my journey as Miss Genesee Valley 2010.
The competition took place April 11, 2010 at Robert Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY. ( The neatest college campus i have ever been on) I had the opportunity to compete with 13 of the brightest ladies in the Western New York area. I am thrilled to be working with the Miss Greater Rochester Organization, Miss Greater Rochester herself Katie Martin, and my new ED Calista :) I am so thrilled and honored to represent Western New York. The Miss American Organization has helped to refine me and helped me along with other young women to become the best they can be. It was a amazing experience and new friendships emerged. Oh and thanks to Jennifer Starkey i left with a new nick name! :) "Buddha." After the pageant i was able to finally experience Dinosaur Barbecue... MMMMM! But as the Road to Miss New York begins, all the MMMM foods have to go, :/ as i prepare. Hope you enjoy the pictures!
